Who We Are

Mission: To End Hunger Together in NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin.

Second Harvest Northland is the region’s only food bank and rescuer of nationally and regionally donated food for distribution to 180 non-profit charitable partners and approximately 44,000 people in need throughout NE Minnesota (St. Louis, Carlton, Lake and Cook counties) and NW Wisconsin (Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland and Iron counties).

What We Do

Second Harvest Northland’s primary purpose is to rescue nationally and regionally donated food and grocery product from manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and growers for distribution to 180 non-profit charitable feeding programs and approximately 44,000 people in need throughout NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin.

In addition to providing food to other non-profit programs, we also serve over 3,300 people per month as part our Food Shelf, Mobile Food Pantry, Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) and BackPack Programs.

Annually, we rescue and distribute over 7.7 million pounds of food, the equivalent of over 6.2 million meals, for people in need throughout our region.
