Who We Are
Mission: To shine a light of hope for children fighting critical illnesses when they need it most.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota is a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children between the ages of 2½ and 18 who are battling critical illnesses. Part of the larger Make-A-Wish Foundation network, the Minnesota chapter serves children across the state, working closely with families, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and donors to create life-changing wish experiences.
Since its founding in 1982, Make-A-Wish Minnesota has granted thousands of wishes, offering children facing serious medical challenges the opportunity to dream, hope, and experience joy during their treatment. Wishes can range from meeting a favorite celebrity, traveling to a dream destination, receiving a desired gift, or even participating in a unique experience tailored to the child’s imagination.
What We Do
The organization’s goal is to provide a positive and uplifting experience that can offer emotional healing, relieve stress, and foster resilience in both the children and their families. Each wish is carefully designed to suit the child’s individual wishes and circumstances, providing moments of happiness and hope at a time when it is most needed. Through community support and partnerships, Make-A-Wish Minnesota continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of critically ill children across the state.
