Beyond the Yellow Ribbon-Hibbing/Chisholm

Mission: To unite the community to honor and embrace those individuals affected by military service with an outward showing of support to enable a successful transition for service members to bring them all the way home while building a stronger more compassionate community.

The BTYR-H/C brings together organizations representing businesses, education, healthcare, non-profits, faith-based, government, and other veteran groups to better organize and develop outreach and coordinate efforts supporting serve members, veterans, and their families.

We meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday at the month at 5pm at Sammy’s Pizza in Hibbing providing support to veterans, currently serving military service members, and their families.

We plan multiple projects including Information & Resource Fairs, Military Appreciation Day trips to the State Fair, St Louis County Fair Military Appreciation Days, providing healthy snacks as National Guard units deploy, and partner with other organizations to host Memorial Day and Veterans Day events. And are on call to support the National Guard soldiers in the area.

We participate in family, community, and veteran events throughout the Hibbing/Chisholm area as an outreach method to communicate the services available to military families and to encourage volunteers to participate in our network.
