Who We Are
Mission: To put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that provides homeownership opportunities to anybody who meets our program criteria. The North St. Louis County affiliate has maintained the capacity to build at least five homes with households in our service area since 2007. A total of 111 families in 15 communities have been served with homeownership opportunities since our founding in 1995. We have a staff of four and a large board of directors, all of whom have a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise.
What We Do
North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity’s works with families to build or rehabilitate homes that are safe, comfortable, and efficient. Applicants are selected based on their need for housing and their willingness to contribute directly to their home’s construction. Habitat partners must also demonstrate their ability to pay Habitat’s affordable mortgage. Community support provides volunteer labor to build homes and staff committees.
