Welcome to our organization! We are dedicated to providing essential animal control services to most of St. Louis County, Minnesota. We are an animal shelter located in Virginia MN that covers more than 6000 square miles of St Louis County and the cities of Virginia, Mt. Iron, Gilbert and Biwabik.

Our team is committed to responding to hoarding situations, where we’ve rescued as many as 76 animals in a single case. Each year, we shelter up to 605 animals, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.

Our comprehensive services include deworming, spaying, neutering, and vaccinating abandoned and surrendered cats and dogs. We also provide vital veterinary medical care to ensure the well-being of the animals in our care.

In addition to our hands-on efforts, we believe in the power of education. We offer community programs for both children and adults to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Together, we can create a safer and more compassionate environment for all animals in our community.
