You (yes, you) can help build a house! North St. Louis County Habitat for Humanity partners with local families in need of simple, decent, affordable homes. Partner families work alongside community volunteers before purchasing the home with an affordable mortgage. We invite the public to join us at our build site in West Eveleth, where three homes are under construction. Potential tasks include site preparation, framing walls, installing windows, roofing, and installing siding. Volunteers are only asked to do what they are comfortable with.
Our staff and volunteer site supervisors can teach you skills that will not only benefit future Habitat homeowners, but also can help you maintain and repair your own home! At our construction sites, safety is essential, and smiles are abundant. Volunteering as a group is a great way to support Habitat, especially for those with no prior construction experience.
