Volunteers are needed to:
- Set up tables/chairs before the event from 11a-1p
- Help register attendees from 1-6p (shorter shifts are available) at both locations
- Clean up after event and put tables and chairs away from 6-8p
- Help with Coffee & desserts at the Senior Center 1-6p (shorter shifts are available)
- Help with Coffee, food and desserts at the Armory 1-6p (shorter shifts are available)
Our 3rd Veteran Resource Fair will be held at the Chisholm Armory and the Chisholm Senior Center/American Legion on May 18th from 1-6p. A broad mix of Education, Employment, Legal/Financial, Health & Wellness, Community Support, Government Leaders, and Veterans Service Organizations will be there to share resources and information with veterans, service members and their families.
In addition this year we are partnering with the Hibbing DAV to bring in Veteran Service Officers to file and update claims on site and have a Benefits Seminar at 2p at the Chisholm Senior Center. Following that at 3:30 the Northeastern Minnesota Suicide Prevention Coalition will be on hand to discuss suicide awareness and prevention.
A meal will be served and we will have local library staff on hand from 1-5p to provide activities for children allowing parents to focus on learning about needed resources and benefits.
A light meal will be served throughout the day.
